On 14 October, 2021, Fridolin Wild participated in an expert panel as part of the policy-focused event “XR in the classroom” on invitation of the IEEE’s Global Initiative for Ethical Extended Reality.
The event put the ethics of XR-and-education in the spotlight, highlighting problems and achievements from an interdisciplinary perspective. The panel brought together expertise from a wide range of policy perspectives, featuring Ellysse Dick (Information Technology and Innovation Foundation), Victoria Copeland (UCLA), Prof. Eleni Mangina (member of the Global Initiative’s Executive Committee and XR-in-education expert at UCD), and Prof. Fridolin Wild (The Open University, chair of the IEEE ARLEM standards working group).
