Prof Wild gave a guest lecture to Poltava State Agrarian University, Ukraine, focused on opportunities and challenges for XR with a focus on technical communication and the means and facilities to support translation in XR-enabled product use information. Technical communication is a context, where high-quality translation is the key to export. Few standards exist that facilitate the building of transformation chains to translate Augmented Reality instruction. IEEE P1589-2020, ARLEM, is such a standard, and Prof Wild explained as part of his lecture how internationalisation can be embedded in content production processes, complementing new and improved generative AI for rapid creation of 3D objects and Digital Twins. The lecture was attended by teachers of the Department of Humanities and Social Disciplines, and students of the speciality philology.
