With great pride we’re announcing that we’re drawing close to a version 1.0 of the standard for Augmented Reality
Learning Experience Models (ARLEM). Two meetings are scheduled in order to move the draft specification forward to the needed formal sponsor ballot within the IEEE Standards Association.
Over the course of the past year and a half, we’ve worked hard on elaborating a specification for an activity and workplace description language, supported by over 20 virtual and presence meetings along with many informal conversations.
This recent article in IEEE Computer provides an overview on our vision and goals.
In order to move forward with the standardisation, there must be a motion approved by a majority of the ARLEM working group voting members, which are scheduled for February 13 and February 21.
We’re looking forward to taking ARLEM 1.0 to the finishing line, interested parties please contact the lab for more information on how to sign up for the working group.
