Last Friday, February 24, Dr Fridolin Wild and Will Guest gave an invited talk on and demonstration of Augmented Reality technologies for improving human work performance in a special event focusing on AR/VR as part of the #OxEngage event series.
#OxEngage is organised by Oxford University’s IT service in collaboration with the Bodleian Library and is designed to “offer practical advice, share exemplars, and provide information on training, workshops and events that can support you in exploring the application of IT for impact”.
The talk covered ongoing work of the Performance Augmentation Lab and its EU-funded projects WEKIT and TCBL, including a demonstration of the Microsoft HoloLens.
This may lead to the founding of a Special Interest Group on AR/VR with a future second event (early next term) in planning stage.
